Professional dog handler and trainer with 30 years experience in both the public and private sectors.
A member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, Full member of CFBA and the Professional Association of Applied Canine Trainers.
Also a representative of CFBA in Scotland, a member of PAACT, BIPDT, and a keen member of both AICE and PETbc.
I have handled and trained both active and passive drug detection dogs for Law Enforcement and organised/maintained continuation-training programmes for Law Enforcement and Excise Dog Units. I have appeared in national newspapers and on BBC daytime television demonstrating the use of Customs drug dogs and has given talks to various organisations throughout Scotland on the use of dogs in drug detection work. I have also trained in Law and worked in various Customs dog units.
I have additional experience as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner consulting with problem dogs throughout the whole of Scotland, providing one-to-one personal dog training for those owners who request it.
My support is not only restricted to dogs and their owners, I am also heavily involved in training other prospective dog trainers of the future and runs dog aggression workshops with other behaviourists.
Chartered member of the Institute of Animal Care and Education and a member of the Police and Canine Services Association.
